Hierba 40-120
cm, erecta. Rizoma 0,64-1,2 cm de diámetro, horizontal, con hojas en
posición dística a lo largo de él. Hojas 27-95 x 0,2-0,7 cm, lineares.
Inflorescencias en una umbela simple, largamente pedunculadas, con 17-38
flores, rodeada por 3 brácteas; pedúnculo 34-114 cm, recto; brácteas 12-25
x 5,5-8 mm, lanceoladas, caudadas. Flores pediceladas, bracteoladas; pedicelos
55-100 x 0,8-1,7 mm, rectos, erectos o erecto-patentes; bracteolas mucho más
pequeñas que las brácteas de la inflorescencia, membranosas. Sépalos 8-14
x 5-7 mm, oblanceolados, blanco-rosados, con el nervio medio y la base
purpúrea o verdosa, de la consistencia de los pétalos, pero más pequeños.
Pétalos 10-18 x 8-11 mm, obovados, blanco-rosados, con los nervios purpúreos.
Filamentos estaminales 5-7 mm, lanceolados, planos, persistentes; anteras
1,3-2,1 x 1,4-1,7 mm, reniformes, tetrágonas, amarillas, rara vez subcilíndricas
y rojizas. Estilo grueso, persistente. Florece de Julio a Septiembre. Familia Butomaceae.
